Research Interests: Forest ecology; reforestation; competition; vegetation management; herbicides; environmental impact analysis, long-term productivity; silviculture/wildlife interactions.

Current Programs: Regenerating problem sites; silvicultural creation of mature forest habitats with high quality timber; riparian forest rehabilitation; studies of inter- and intra-specific competition among trees.
